I had bought a Martin D28 over a year back and was never fully satisfied with the shop set up of the guitar. Found Bob at guitar forge via google and decided to drop him a text. I recently brought a barebones Les Paul to Bob. I had (badly) screwed in the pick ups and pots but that was it, no tuners or wiring. Bob sorted everything out, and gave the guitar a full set up, even filled the unused screw holes on the back of the head with small dowels and polished it. Very knowledgeable and friendly guy, reasonable rates and turn around time. I highly recommend the guitar forge!

Excellent and friendly service. Bob does such a good job of maintaining my guitars that I commissioned a build from him: Black Strat with EMGs, Kahler trem, maple neck, locking tuners and locking nut. She plays like a dream and he even made me a custom neck plate, which was a lovely touch. Other work undertaken includes:- pick up installation- neck adjustment (basses and guitars) - entire refret of neck- routing of guitar body- fret dressing- full set upFrankly, I dont let anyone else touch my guitars. As Bob frequently says: Its not a science, its an art!
